Well, it seems like summer is here in Toronto. Or at least, the calm before the smog. Right now the weather is delightful and Joey is able to walk around outside! (No icy wind to prevent him from breathing while outdoors). Also not yet hot enough to induce heat stroke, so that’s a bonus. Picked up some sunblock today with SPF 70 protection. That’s right, 70. Was looking for our normal 45 to protect our pasty-white skin and what I was met with was a choice between 50 or 70. Erring on the side of caution, I went with the latter. Not sure if there is some large, gaping vortex of missing ozone layer directly above our heads, but since this is a city of 2.5 million people it could be possible, so we went with the “broad spectrum” sunblock. That’s the understatement of the year.
So this is what these postings have come to, discussions of household toiletries. Wish it were more interesting, but nothing much is happening health-wise, so this is it. Welcome to our lives. Oh well, at least you know when you smell the non-greasy coconut SPF 70 sunblock, summer has arrived.
