On to Plan B

A lot of people have been asking how Joey’s doing lately. Can’t think of a better succinct descriptor than “so-so”. He’s definitely not the worst he’s ever been, but he’s definitely not the best he’s ever been. Just so-so. We’re still playing the waiting game to see if things turn around, but will probably not have any new info until the end of November. In the meantime, life goes on.

He was trying to get in the mindset of getting in shape so that he can keep as healthy as he can for as long as he can. So we joined a beginner’s running clinic and he went to play badminton last week…and has not been able to move freely since because he threw his back out. But I hear he looked awesome smashing that birdie. That’s my Joey; never does anything half-assed. At least he knows how to do the unhealthy thing really well too. On to plan B, I guess.

I’m not sure how young those lungs are but that body of Joey’s might have a head start? The closer you get to 30 (esp. once you pass it), the more you have EASE into physical pursuits! ; ) Take it from an expert. I am easing back into daily exercise. Once a week for 7 weeks, twice a week for 14 weeks, 3 times a week for 21 weeks etc. You get the idea. Slow and steady wins the race!
