Tonight I received a call to enquire about whether I had gotten out of my pjs yet. I have, in fact. Yesterday was a good day; today was the shits. On a positive note: I hear that I have a new nephew. Congratulations Tory, Karen, and Carson!
Spent the rest of the day visiting with Kimberly, who sewed some of Joey’s ashes into a monkey bum. Allow me to explain: the monkey was given to Joey last June by the Isvik-Ritchie clan. “Zey” hung out with us at St.Paul’s for the majority of our stay last summer. One day, while she was visiting, Kimberly observed that the monkey had a similar body type/way of sitting to Joey. Once this had been pointed out, the resemblance was undeniable. Check it out:
Based on the fact that the monkey was very special to us, we decided that it would be a good idea to reunite Joey with his little buddy. Added bonus: the monkey looks less creepy than a dime bag full of ashes. Good for me for exerting effort to fit in more closely with normal members of society, although I must say, Zey was not impressed with our antics:
In other news, I started a “Joey’s Angels” team for the Great Strides walk to cure CF. Anybody want to join the team or sponsor me? If so, please visit the following link:
Thanks a million!
