Greetings all!

Just wanted to let all of you out-of-towners who are still mulling over the possibility for coming to PR for the golf tournament know some info on hotels. We have spoken to a few different ones in town who have agreed to give discounts, so remember to quote the name of the tournament when you call to book: The Chad Linsdell memorial golf tournament. Here are a couple of options:

The Oceanside Resort and Motel: (604) 485-2435

This one is about a 5 minute walk from the golf course. They have a variety of different cabins available, so the rates will differ. Just remember to quote the tournie name.

5 min drive away from the golf course. With the special rate, rooms are $65 for two person occupancy and $10 more for each additional person. All rooms have kitchenettes. Ask for Bill.

The Beach Gardens Resort Hotel: (604) 485-6267

5 min drive away from the golf course. New rooms are available for $125 a night, older rooms are $79 a night. All of the rooms are waterfront. Ask for Joan.

You Can’t Tame the J-Dawg

Just wanted to share a couple of exciting firsts.

The first time Joey and I have ever been skiing together:

Thanks to my big sissy for taking us. (Yes, Joey skied with his broken arm hanging limply by his side as he clutched the pole). It was fun and thank god he made it home in one piece.

Next first: today Joey went on his first jog in about 12 years. I’m pretty stoked about that.

Also: he ended up getting coverage for the osteoporosis medication that actually rebuilds bone density. Seems like a good thing at this rate.
